How to talk about movies in English -6

【key words】

...............................................................................................................................................
OK, now it's your turn.
好了,現在輪到你了。
Your job is to talk about a movie you don’t like.
你的工作是談論一部你不喜歡的電影。
Try to make three to four sentences describing the movie and why you don’t like it.
試著用三到四句話描述這部電影以及你為什麼不喜歡它。
Ready?
準備好了嗎?好,開始。
How was the movie?
電影怎麼樣啊?
Urggh...
a word used to express the feeling that something is stupid or annoying; a sound of displeasure.
呃,我呸...
Awful!
可怕的糟!
I wanted to walk out.
我想出去。
Why?
為什麼?
What was so bad about it?
它有那些糟糕的地方呢?
Everything!
一切!
It was so slow and boring.
它是如此緩慢和無聊。
Plus, it was so predictable that I could even guess what they were going to say next.
另外,它是如此的
老套(可預測),以至於我甚至可以猜到他們接下來要說什麼。
That’s surprising.
這很令人驚訝。
It got quite good reviews.
它得到了相當好的評價。
They must have seen a different movie than I did.
他們
看的一定是與我不同的電影。
Also, it was dubbed, and they only used two voice actors: one for the males, and one for the females.
此外,它被配音(配上與原音不同的語言,讓當地的觀眾能理解劇情),他們只使用了兩名配音演員:一名男性,一名女性。
I never understand why they dub movies like that.
我一直不明白他們為什麼要這樣配音。
Why not just use subtitles?
為什麼不直接使用字幕?
Yeah, I agree, but I guess people don’t like reading.
是的,我同意,但我猜人們不喜歡閱讀。
Was it scary?
是不是很嚇人?
Not at all!
一點也不!
It was quite gory, but it was all done so badly that it wasn’t believable at all.
雖然表面上來看是很血腥,但一切都做得如此糟糕(假),以至於根本不可信。
The special effects looked like they were made on a laptop in twenty minutes.
特效看起來像是在二十分鐘內在筆記本電腦上製作的。
That’s a shame.
那是一種羞恥。
So, why did you stay to the end?
那麼,你為什麼要停留到最後呢?
My friends didn’t want to leave.
我的朋友們不想離開。

Conclusion of this dialogue - 本段對話結語
..........................................................................................................................................
In the dialogue, you heard several adjectives to describe a movie you don’t like.
在對話中,你聽到了幾個形容詞來描述你不喜歡的電影。
Can you remember any of them?
你還記得其中的任何一個嗎?
You heard: 'awful', 'slow', 'boring' and 'predictable'.
你聽到:"糟糕"、"慢"、"無聊"和"老套(可預測)"。
‘Slow’ means that the story doesn’t develop quickly, or that scenes in the movie go on for too long.
 "慢"是指故事發展不快,或者電影中的場景持續時間過長。
What other adjectives could you use to describe a movie which you don’t like?
你還能用什麼形容詞來形容一部你不喜歡的電影?
You can also take positive adjectives and make them negative; for example: ‘unoriginal’ or ‘unbelievable’.
你也可以把正面的形容詞變成負面的;例如:"非原創"或"難以置信"。
Can you think of a movie which you didn’t like?
你能想到一部你不喜歡的電影嗎?
Why didn’t you like it?
你為什麼不喜歡它?
As before, you should try to give reasons to explain why you didn’t like something.
和以前一樣,你應該試著給出理由來解釋你為什麼不喜歡某樣東西。
You could say something like: 'The lead actor was really bad; he was completely emotionless.'
你可以這樣說:"男主角真的很糟糕;他完全沒有感情。"
'The plot was stupid.'
"情節很愚蠢。"
'Nothing made any sense.'
"沒有任何意義。"
'It was completely unfunny.'
"這完全無趣。"
No one in the whole cinema laughed once.’
"整個電影院裡沒有人笑過一次。"
Now, it’s your chance to practise!
現在,這是你練習的機會!
Think of a movie which you saw which you didn’t like.
想想你看過但不喜歡的電影。
Make two to three sentences to describe the movie and say why you didn’t like it.
用兩到三句話來描述這部電影,並說出你不喜歡它的原因。
