formal [ˋfɔrml]：
Formal speech or behaviour is very correct and serious rather than relaxed and friendly, and is used especially in official situations.
分解：字根form = shape；後綴al = 形容詞…與…相關的。
分析：”形狀一致” = 正式場合服裝大多一致，引伸為 “正式的”。
For example，
A prom is a formal dance at a school or college which is usually held at the end of the academic year(學年).
prom通常是在學校或學院於學年結束時舉行的正式舞會。
Prom 是舞會的意思，一般來說是比Party還正式一點，美國高中常常會舉辦這種舞會呢。
